This female Indian rhino was one of a pair captured by Peter Ryhiner at Kaziranga in 1953. Renamed 'Golden Girl' this animal was a favorite at the zoo until 1976. In December 'Golden Girl' was translocated to the San Diego Wild Animal Park for breeding purposes. |
