Between Nov 1963 and Oct 1964, 86 white rhino translocated from Umfolozi to Kruger NP.
In Nov 1964, the first calf was seen, and since then 2 more have been seen.
The white rhino had become extinct before the park was declared.
The first animals offered by Natal Parks Board were taken in 1961.... |
