The rhinoceros sometimes wanders as far towards the coast as the open grass plains of Toyo, 100 miles south of Berbera. It is common in southern parts of the Haud.

Hunted rhino at the Bubu River [35.50 E, 4.40 S] Some days later, we saw no less than 7 rhinoceroses. One of them went through the chain of our carriers and caused a great panick.
