On capture of Oonah during the Mutiny. -Two companies 29th N.I. and two Sikh corps went on ahead to OONAH, the seat of the Gooroo Beekram Singh. They found the Fort empty. - The remainder of the force reached Oonah the next day, and halted 2 days, and saw all the lions of the place, the most curious of which was the Gooroo's sacred rhinoceros. It is a female about ten years old, and report says was bought by the Gooroo when only one year old for 2,500 Co.'s rs.
