Bedee Bikaman Singh died at Umritsur [Amritsar] from cholera. He had the misfortune tokill his elder brother in early life, and in expiation of this crime used to wash his hands daily in the excrement of a rhinoceros, which he kept for that purpose, When Oonah was captured the 59th N.I. marched off with the animal at the head of their column. * Oonah is in the vicinity of Jalandhar in NW Punjab.
