Original text on this topic:
The full paper consists of 34 pages, with a sketch showing the original position in situ of the twenty-two postcranial bones (radius, ulna, scaphoideum, lunatum, trapezoideum, magnum, hamatum, os metacarpale II, os metacarpale III, os metacarpale IV, nine phalanges, and three ossa sesamoidea) – partially recovered in anatomical connection – ten bio-metric tables, and seven plates.
The author (Belyaeva) describes the single specimens found near Rybinsk (Yaroslavl’ region, European Russia) in detail.
The scapula has irremediably been lost through the years (Belyaeva, 1939:69).
Here is a part of the paper only. The first file contains: the cover, pp. 69-70 (the introduction with the sketch), p. 90 (the English summary), the ten biometric tables, the captions of the seven plates. The second file contains the seven plates in high resolution.
According to Billia (2008), on the bases of the III metacarpal (vide Pl. V) morphology, the remains must dubiously assigned to the Merck's rhinoceros.
