Original text on this topic:
Is R. simus found north of the Zambesi? In 1892, an English trader, Mr Harry Pettitt gave me an extraordinary pair of horns which he had obtained in Portuguese territory to the south of the river Ruo. Both horns were of good length but the front one was extremely long, slender and directed forwards. At British museum, Mr. Sclater suggests that it may belong to a subspecies proposed by Dr Gray.
