New species of black rhino - S Africa. The individual from which the annexed print was taken, is supposed to be a new species, or at least, a variety of the species usually met with in South Africa, being of greater bulk and having the upper horn at least three times the size of what it generally is. The eye is remarkably small, and placed at a great distance from the forehead.
