The skulls of a male and female Rhinoceros lasiotis were procured by myself on the coast near Koranji Island in 1866, and are now in the British Museum.
Rhinoceros sumatrensis is the ordinary two-horned rhinoceros of Tenasserim and the Malay countries, and would seem to be replaced in Arakan by R. lasiotis, which perhaps also spreads into Assam and Tenasserim.
