Rhinoceros horn, si kio, is likewise reputed from time immemorail for its anti-poisonous virtues. The Shen Nung Pen Ts'ao, BC 2700, states that rhino horn (chu po tu) 'cures the hundred poisons.' The same belief is found in India. I cannot believe that the Chinese have borrowed this practice from the Hindus or vice versa.
