Black Rhino |

Black rhinos are by nature solitary and have a low population density. They communicate with one another and orientate within the home range largely by scent marks. In a drastically reduced population the marking system cannot be maintained, so that intra-specific communication is greatly reduced and with it the chance of reproduction.
