Rhinos of Gorumara are known to wander off. In March 1989, one female wandered into Bangladesh and had to be physically brought back.
Another female strayed into the forests of Apalchand range and moved as far west across the river Teestato Mahananda sanctuary. It died in Apalchand forests in August 1992.
