Movement of Ceratotherium simum from Zululand. Project known as ?operation Rhino.' The work is designed to reduce the rhino population in Umfolozi GR, where the animals had become over numerous as a result of good conservation.
From 1 Jan 1961 to 31 May 1968, 482 rhinos were exported and removed from their former habitat in Umfolozi.
