Nothing is known of any diseases caused by these parasites in the rhinoceroses. but a pathological skin condition has been reported from the Black Rhinoceros in Hluhluwe, and a so-called ?microfilaria' was extracted from the lesions. Microfilaria are larval forms, and those extracted from the rhinoceros cannot be correlated with any species of round-worm listed above.
