Original text on this topic:
The South West African Government is the only government that sells rhino horn; but this was stopped in early 1984. Other countries store the products, in spite of the potential loss of revenue. Rhino horn and skin comes through Angola. [Joubert - South West Africa has auctioned 73 kg of horn in 1982, and 99 kg in 1983. Most of this came f rom natural deaths but some from confiscations of poached Damaraland rhinos. One of the South West African auctions went to Taiwan.
