1991, Survey by Asian Wetland Bureau. The signs included footprints, dung, and saplings broken off. Size of footprints indicate Dicerorhinus sumatrensis. Signs of feeding were found in two locations 7 km apart. A patrol in July 1991 had located tracks in dep mud too indistinct for identification.
