The Rhino Awareness Expedition began in December 1993 when Klaus Schrumpf and Pamela Bell left Cape Town and their specially designed 4x4 Landcruiser was shipped to Chile where they began their trip. The objective was to create a worldwide awareness of the plight of rhino and the senseless killing of these animals. After 4 years in Latin America, they have arrived in USA. They intend to take a total of 12 years for their journey.
