the Endangered Wildlife Trust provided financial assistance to the National Parks Board to bring six black rhino from Etosha NP in SW Africa to the newly established Vaalbos NP near Kimberley. The translocation went very smoothly and all animals arrived in good condition. Unfortunately one rhino was killed by lightning shortly after, but this loss was balanced by the birth of a calf.
