London Zoo. Male 'Tom' presented on Christmas day 1886 by the Maharajah of Cooch Behar, who had probably shot the rhino's mother. Between 1871 and 1902, a total of 207 rhinos were slaughtered by the maharajah and his guests, five of them in a single morning in 1886.
