The Fund supported a survey of the Vietnamese rhino population by Vietnamese, Indonesian, Dutch and American scientists who established a collaborative initiative at the colloquium. The survey found that on;ly a handful of rhinos remain in Vietnam, which led the Vietnamese Government to produce a high-priority action plan to rescue the rhino population.
