Information of Bourret in Hanoi. Bourret maintains that sondaicus occurs or has been found in Cochin China, Siam, Laos and Cambodia. It has been killed in La Nha, also at Bien-Hoa, at Cap St. Jacques not far from Saigon, in the south of Cambodia. Also in the region of Xieng-Khouang in Tran Ninh, North-east Laos; and is probably found to the west of the Annamite Chain.
