On 13 Nov 1961 an immature female captued near the newly forming Lake Kariba was moved to Wankie and housed in a paddock at Main Camp. It was subsequently moved to Matopos NP as it was too small and later to the Zoo in Pretoria |

Of the 4 released in 1963, 1 female died as a result of a fight with another rhino. In May 1963 a male was found dead, possibly from injuires received at the same fight. |
