A hunter from Fort Archambault in a period of two years exported 10 tons of rhino horns. At an average of 1700 g, this represents 5000 to 6000 animals exterminated in a single region. A transporter travelling from Fort Archambault to Bagui carried 1200 kg of horns on a single journey. |
