Information on a specimen of a young Indian rhinoceros, stuffed, in the museum in Gotha.
Im Journal der Säugetier-Sammlung (cat. 60), das 1842 begonnen wurde, ist unter der Nr. 809 vermerkt: "*23. Juli 1867: Rhinoceros indicus Frank 125 Thaler*"
- es wurde also von dem Naturalienhandler Frank (wahrscheinlich Halle/Saale) angekauft. Mehr war leider nicht festzustellen. Frank hat das Herzogliche Naturalienkabinett in Gotha vor allem mit Vögeln beliefert.
