Captive population. Offspring that died had a lower birth weight than survivors. Offsprting with birth weight below 57 kg died. The weight seems to be influenced by the parousity of the mother; first-born offspirng have on average a lower birth weight (56.5 kg) than later-born ones (67.8 kg). First-born offspring had higher mortality (39.5 %) than later-born (18.7 %).
