Original text on this topic:
People living in the forest hunt tigers, bears, rhinoceros, buffalo, wild cows and deer. The method to get to the rhinoceros is very curious. Four or five men take solid pieces of bamboo, the point of which is very sharp and has been strengthened in the fire. Armed like this, they go to the places where this animal lives, shouting and clapping their hand to make it run away. When the furious animal finally appears, it comes straight at them, opening and closing its large mouth. The men get ready for it by pointing the bamboo sticks towards the mouth, and at the right moment, the throw the stick into the throat and even to the intestines with a surprising dexterity. They then quickly run to left or right. The rhinoceros gives an enormous cry, then falls down with terrible convulsions, until the hunters sing and clap until the monster dies through the vomit of blood.
