A generous donation enabled the zoo to acquire a pair of white rhino from Umfolozi. Kl?s went to South Africa to collect a good-tempered bull of about 5 years and a cow of 3-4 years, arriving 26 August. The rhinos were provisionally accommodated in the Elephant House, they have settled down well.

In the outside enclosure, Subur had two places where she sprayed urine in a strong flow. She sprayed up to 6 metres far and to a height of 2 metres. She usually walked around when spraying, but I have seen her urinate also while standing in the wallow.
