The WWF report on rhinos titled 'The Greater One Horned Rhino: Past, Present and Future’ was officially released in a small function by the Hon. Forest Minister of Assam, Mrs Pramila Rani Brahma organised in her office this morning, 2 January 2017.The program was attended by Sri Paban Barthakur, Principal Secy. Forest Govt of Assam, Sri Bikash Brahma, PCCF & HOFF (I/c) and Chief Wildlife Warden Assam. Sri M.C. Malakar Retd, Chief Wildlife Warden Assam along with a host of senior officials of the Assam Forest Department and others. Dr Anupam Sarma and Sri Amit Sharma were present in the program from WWF India. <br>During the same program the film of GOH Rhinos in Assamese made by Sri Champak Deka with support from WWF India was also officially released. This film has been made as an awareness building material mainly targeting the school children. |
