Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis), Limpopo Region, 1930, by Rowland Ward, horns on original shield, numbered 445, anterior horn 58.5cm, posterior horn 23.5cm, the oak shield with RW gouged and painted number 445 and photograph from 1930 expedition with this trophy animal. <br>Rowland Ward were commissioned by the vendor's great-grandfather, who took an annual safari in Africa, to mount all the specimens he took during the hunting. |
