Andreas Eisenmann fecit. 76.<br>Hand-coloured engraving from Knorr's (1705-61) Délices Physiques Choisis (1767) or Deliciae naturae selectae, Nuremburg. Knorr believed that different species all resembled the Indian rhino and only the number of horns depended on location & sex. The rhino is an Indian rhino. There is a set of double horns of an African rhino on the lower left part of the engraving. |
