The only printed example of the Kotdwara rhino is an engraving found in the second volume of the Oriental Annual for 1835, bound in between pages 4 and 5, lengthwise with the legend facing the spine (fig. 15-06). Just titled “The Rhinoceros”, additional printed information identified William Daniell as the draughtsman, James Redaway (1697-1858) as the engraver, James Yates as the printer, and Edward Bull as the publisher, with the date 1 October 1834.
