Goddards is an Edward Lutyens designed house, now owned by The Landmark Trust. The house was full of hunting trophies, in the form of mounted antlers and even a bison's head in their private bowling alley. The vendor's earliest memory of seeing the horn would be in about 1943. It lived at the bottom of the stairs outside his grandfather's study. It was always assumed that it was 'bagged' by him, though it is quite possible that it was passed on to him by his father, Revd. John Lomax Gibbs.<br>Hammer: £50000.00
