After several months of developing the new Rhino Resource Center site is finally ready. It's a huge improvement from the old site and hosts a great deal of new features.

You can now use a much more powerfull search engine that quickly queries the thousands of records on rhino literature in our database. Whithin the results a couple of new features provide easy navigation and browsing to find the information you need.

On top of that we managed to add a huge number of PDF's containing pages from the books and journals in our database. Even very old publications have been scaned, and using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) made readable, for you to download and use.

Furthermore an Image Gallery has been added containing several hundred high resolution images. Although most images fall under copyright protection a large number is free to use in your reports or websites.

A searchable Links section is added containing many links to rhino related sites and resources. Feel free to contact us about linking to your site (providing it's about rhinos).

Also, this new Messageboard allows you to interact with other researchers, zoo keepers or rhino enthousiasts around the world. Ask questions and participate in discussions about rhinos.

Another great improvement is our Control Management System which allows our moderaters to easily update or add new references, PDFs, images and links so the RRC stays fresh and up to date.

Please feel free to leave your comments and ideas about this new RRC website on this Messageboard as we value your views and tips. This will allow us to improve the RRC and make it more user-friendly.

To leave a message please registrer so we can welcome you aboard.

Kind regards,

Willem van Strien

Kees, just to say congratulations on the greatly improved RRC website. I'm especially impressed - and I confess a little jealous - by this message board facility.
All best wishes, Cathy

To Everyone at the Rhino Resource Center,

I found out about the site today while attending the series of talks at the Zoological Society in London. I enjoyed Kees' talk very much and went away determined to view your site at the first opportunity. I am very impressed and hope to add to some forum discussions and also to add some photos as soon as I can. The first photos will likely be of my friend Morani, one of the Black Rhinos from Sweetwaters reserve in Kenya.

Well done on the site and thank you for creating it!

Regards

Andrew Attias

Hello, I don't know where to ask that. I would like to take contact with the people who made a presentation at the RhinoMayDay last may in London.

Some of them gave their e-mail address but i would be happy to have the others to get informations about their work in the wild...

Thank for all the answers i will have
C.

Hi Cyrielle
For obvious reasons I cannot post email addresses on a public website. But if you tell me who in particular you may like to contact, I will ask them if it is alright.
