Hello,

Do anybody know how Harapan is doing? Harapan is sumatra rhino born in zoo in the Cincinati, 1 month ago. Is he already be allowed outside? What type of food do he get? And is the health good?

Thank you.

Dr Terri Roth of Cincinnati Zoo writes (1 June 2007):
Harapan is thriving. He was born larger than Andalas at 86 pounds and in one month has reached 203 pounds. It is amazing how fast these rhinos grow!!
He is already outside with Emi 4-5 hours each day enjoying the mud and running about the yard. Our guest just love him. He has a lot of character.

The RRC just had some pictures of Harapan added to the database:

They were all taken just after birth.
