Hey everyone!
I know this is a LONG shot, but does anyone have a copy of the following article? I found it in the RRC Reference Base but can't find the whole thing!

Discrimination learning and extinction in the black rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis)

Author(s): MacCain, G.; Stepter, G.
Year published: 1968
Journal: Psychonomic Science
Volume: 13 (3)
Pages: 189-190, figs. 1-3

Thanks in advance!

Ktimko,

I asked Kees to look it up for you. I don't know if he has it though! Please come back as I'll post here as soon as it has been uploaded.

What are you using it for by the way?

kind regards,

Willem

Thats Great!
I've only been working with Black Rhinos for about a year and am curious about any investigations into their learning capabilities. I'm trying to be thorough in searching the research but I'm having a hard time finding much.
I have the article by Daniel & Mikulka about discrimination in the white rhino. Can you reference any other articles that might be useful?
THANK YOU again!

The article has now been posted on the site. See the new PDFs in the Reference Base.
Yes, this is a subject that still needs further attention. Other readers may have further ideas.

Ktimko,

If you are looking to start a training regime for your rhinos, you can also look on the rhino keeper association website (rhinokeeperassociation.org) for some training techniques, and behaviors. This will also be updated shortly and will include other institutions' training programs.
