Dear All,
We have one 43 years old male white rhino with the problem about nasal dropping of food(like pellets and grass after it ate). It 's not always happened but the frequency is increased gradually now. We suspect it may be caused by fistula between oral-nasal cavity but it's hard to prove it. We ever tried to use the endoscope but it still need more training to let it accept because we can only get in for 15 cm and what we can see is the grass in the nasal cavity. Its blood tests seems normal, only the WBC index reveal a little higher(10.8 * 10^9/L). It's instead of nasal discharge if no food. We have gave it doxycycline (that's the only antibiotics it accepted) for a long time but the syndrome is not improve also its spirit is not very good right now. Do any one have such experience and suggestion about this case? Thanks!
