We have received a request to vote for the following project.

You can see the entries (Galileo-GT and Space Sentinels) on the ESNC website:

Description:
Galileo - Grand Tracker (GT)
An eco-innovative business plan for an ESA based databank to provide, following subscription, locations of wildlife relative to the vehicles.
Applications
1: Animal/vehicle collision avoidance in the UK and globally relies on road signs. GALILEO-GT TRACKING allowing drivers to get a real-time warning of when animals like deer, which is tagged for the GT system, may be likely to jump over the road. Financial Motivation reduction of: 500,000 collisions/year, 300 people killed; 30,000 people injured; $ 1,000,000,000 material damage = substantial financial and social ROI.
2: Wildlife authorities to know if tourist vehicles are disturbing big game e.g. tigers, rhinos. Financial motivation A single tiger can make US$130 million in tourism revenue. GT will give best usage of space (roads and game lodges) in game parks, ROI = income is sustained.
Future Vision: Animal behaviour uses studies of their movements, so GT databank gives remote monitoring of behaviour, extra input from tourists reporting health status, presents a revolutionary global living-lab i.e. input from people and animals and new way of thinking about living labs.
